Terms of Service
Effective Date: 3 July 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TribeMap platform, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by TribeMap Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("TribeMap", "we", "us", or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Definitions
- "Account" means your registered account on the Service.
- "User", "you", or "your" means any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Service.
- "Content" means any data, text, information, or materials you submit to or generate through the Service.
- "Subscription" means the paid plan you select to access the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an Account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and to update such information as necessary. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your Account.
You must notify us immediately at hello@tribemap.ai if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your Account.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
4.1 Free Trial
New Accounts may access the Service under a free trial for a stated period (currently 7 days). We may require a valid payment method to begin a trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your Subscription will begin automatically and your payment method will be charged at the then-current rate for your plan. We may modify or discontinue trial offers at any time.
4.2 Plans
The Service is offered under one or more subscription plans as described on our Pricing page. Plans differ in included usage, capacity, and access to features as they are released.
4.3 Billing
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected). By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. All fees are stated in US dollars unless otherwise specified.
4.4 Promotional Pricing
Where we offer a promotional rate, that rate applies for as long as your Subscription remains continuously active. If you cancel and later resubscribe, the then-current rate applies. Promotional pricing on future add-on modules, where offered, is described at the point of sale for those modules.
4.5 Changes and Cancellation
You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your Subscription at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. We reserve the right to modify pricing for new billing cycles with 30 days' prior notice, subject to Section 4.4.
4.6 Usage Limits
Usage limits stated on our Pricing page are guides, not hard caps. If your usage consistently and materially exceeds the guide for your plan, we may recommend an upgrade. We will not suspend your service without prior notice.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or systems connected to the Service.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
- Use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or other harmful or disruptive content.
- Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Service to third parties without our written consent.
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service except through our published APIs.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

6.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of all Content you submit to the Service. By submitting Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to process, store, and display your Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. We will not sell your Content to third parties.

7. AI Advisors and Outputs
The Service includes AI-powered features (including visitor classification and "Advisors") that analyse data and provide classifications, strategic briefings, recommendations, and content suggestions. You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI outputs are informational and advisory only. They do not constitute professional, financial, legal, or marketing advice.
- You are solely responsible for all decisions made based on AI outputs.
- AI outputs may contain inaccuracies or errors. You should independently verify any information before acting on it.
- We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated output.
8. Data and Analytics
The Service collects and analyses visitor data from the websites and platforms you connect. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, consents, and legal bases to collect and share such data with us, and to deploy our tracking snippet on your properties, including compliance with all applicable data protection and cookie laws (including the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, ePrivacy rules, and CCPA/CPRA). You are responsible for providing your visitors with any required privacy or cookie notices.
For details on how we handle personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.
9. Third-Party Integrations
The Service may integrate with third-party platforms (e.g., advertising networks, social media, analytics providers, AI model providers). Your use of such integrations is subject to the respective third party's terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party services.
10. Service Availability
We aim to provide continuous access to the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will use reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- TribeMap Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TribeMap Ltd, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request a copy of your data within 30 days of termination, after which we may delete it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification) shall survive.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Effective Date" above. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree with the changes, you should stop using the Service and cancel your Subscription.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable consumer protection laws grant you additional rights.
16. General
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TribeMap Ltd regarding the Service.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
